Other categories include leukemias and lymphomas, which affect blood-forming tissues and the lymphatic system, respectively, and brain tumors, which develop in the central nervous system.

Diagnosis typically involves imaging techniques, laboratory tests, and a biopsy, where a sample of the tumor tissue is examined under a microscope.
