transisomeerid
Transisomeerid are a type of chemical compound that exhibit geometric isomerism. Specifically, they are stereoisomers that differ in the arrangement of their substituents around a double bond. In a transisomeer, the two highest priority substituents on each carbon of the double bond are located on opposite sides of the double bond. This is in contrast to cis isomers, where these substituents are on the same side. The designation of "trans" comes from the Latin word for "across."
The physical and chemical properties of transisomeers can differ significantly from their cis counterparts. For example,
Transisomeerism is a common phenomenon in organic chemistry and is found in various types of molecules, including
