Concept and properties: Tissueen is imagined as a viscoelastic, water-rich network that mimics extracellular matrix in its architecture but exhibits enhanced self-healing and adaptive stiffness. In models, it comprises collagen- or collagen-like fibrils, proteoglycans, and nanofibrillar polymers, cross-linked by dynamic bonds that can reassemble after mechanical disruption.
