Tietona is a coastal town and municipality in the fictional nation of Eldoria, located on the western shore of the North Sea. It covers about 18 square kilometers and lies at an elevation of roughly 10–15 meters above sea level. The population was estimated at 8,600 in 2021, with a demographic profile typical of a small maritime community.

The settlement grew around a natural harbor used by fishermen in the 16th century. It expanded through trade, shipbuilding, and later small-scale manufacturing. The name Tietona is believed to derive from an old local word meaning “bright water.”

Main economic activities are fishing and seafood processing, allied with light manufacturing and tourism. The harbor serves fishing fleets, a weekly market, and a small shipyard. Transportation links include Highway 7 and a coastal ferry to the nearby island of Lira; the town is also served by a regional rail spur.

Tietona has a mayor-council government; it is part of the Eldorian regional district. Education includes two schools, a primary school and Tietona Secondary School, and a small public library.

Cultural life centers on the annual Tietona Maritime Festival, featuring fishing boats, traditional music, and crafts. Notable sites include the Tietona Gorge, the Old Wharf, and the Tietona Wetlands Reserve, a protected area with migratory birds. Ecotourism is an important secondary activity.
