tietokonekerroskuvausta
Tietokonekerroskuvaus, often translated as computer tomography (CT) or computed axial tomography (CAT), is a medical imaging technique that utilizes X-rays and computer processing to create cross-sectional images of the body. Unlike conventional X-rays, which produce a flat, two-dimensional image, CT scans generate detailed, three-dimensional views of internal organs, bones, soft tissues, and blood vessels.
The process involves a rotating X-ray source that encircles the patient, emitting a narrow beam of X-rays.
These slices can then be stacked and manipulated by the computer to create more comprehensive 3D visualizations.
