Tetejérl is a small, nomadic bird species found in the arid regions of the continent of Xylos. These birds are characterized by their distinctive crested head feathers, which can be raised or lowered depending on their mood or environment. Their plumage is typically a muted sandy brown, providing excellent camouflage against the desert landscape. Tetejérl are known for their resilience, able to survive in areas with scarce water and food resources.

The diet of the tetejérl primarily consists of insects, seeds, and small desert plants. They are opportunistic feeders and will consume whatever is available. During the breeding season, which is often dictated by rainfall patterns, tetejérl form small flocks for mating and raising their young. They build simple nests in thorny bushes or rock crevices, laying clutches of two to three eggs. Both parents share incubation and feeding duties.

Tetejérl communicate through a series of chirps and trills, often used to alert others to danger or to maintain contact within the flock. While not considered endangered, their populations can fluctuate with environmental conditions. Their migratory patterns are not well-documented but are believed to be influenced by the availability of food and water sources across the vast Xylosian deserts. They are a common sight in their native habitat, though rarely venture into more populated areas.
