First, a slurry is prepared by mixing the desired material with a suitable binder and solvent. This slurry is then spread onto a moving carrier tape, which is typically made of materials like polyester or polyimide. The slurry is evenly distributed across the tape using a doctor blade, which controls the thickness of the resulting sheet.

The carrier tape, now coated with the slurry, is passed through a drying oven. In this stage, the solvent evaporates, and the binder solidifies, forming a green body. The green body is then removed from the carrier tape and subjected to further processing, such as sintering, to achieve the final desired properties.
