tarjimasida

Tarjimasida is a grammatical form in Uzbek that means “in the translation” or “in its translation.” It is derived from the noun tarjima (translation) with the possessive suffix -si and the locative suffix -da, yielding tarjimasida. The construction is used to refer to content, wording, or location that appears within a translated text rather than in the original source.

In use, tarjimasida categorizes statements about how a text has been rendered into another language, or where a particular expression can be found in the translation. It is common in scholarly, literary, and journalistic Uzbek writings when comparing the original and translated versions or when discussing translation choices. The form helps denote that a remark applies specifically to the translated version.

- Tarjimasida matnning mazmuni saqlanib qolgan. (In the translation, the meaning of the text is preserved.)
