Täryjyrä is a Finnish term referring to a vibratory roller, a type of construction equipment used for soil compaction. It is a heavy machine designed to achieve uniform compaction of granular materials like gravel, sand, and crushed stone. The roller's effectiveness comes from a combination of its weight and the vibrations generated by a rotating eccentric mass within the drum. This vibration loosens the soil particles, allowing them to settle into a denser configuration.

Täryjyrät are commonly employed in road construction, building foundations, and other infrastructure projects where stable and compacted subgrades are essential. They are particularly useful for compacting layers of granular fill, as they can achieve a high degree of compaction in fewer passes compared to static rollers.
