A tähtäinlaite, which translates to "aiming device" or "sight" in English, is an optical instrument or accessory used to assist in aiming a firearm, bow, or other projectile weapon. Its primary function is to provide a clearer and more precise aiming point than the naked eye alone, especially at longer distances or in low-light conditions.

Tähtäinlaite typically consists of a system of lenses and a reticle, which is a pattern of lines, dots, or other markings visible within the field of view. When the user looks through the tähtäinlaite, the reticle is superimposed onto the target, allowing for more accurate alignment.
