szénsavbázisok
Szénsavbázisok, more commonly referred to as carbonates, are chemical compounds derived from carbonic acid. Carbonic acid itself is a weak acid with the chemical formula H2CO3. When carbonic acid loses one or more hydrogen ions (protons), it forms carbonate anions. The most common carbonate anion is CO3^2-, which is the anion of carbonic acid. However, carbonic acid can also lose just one proton to form the bicarbonate or hydrogen carbonate anion, HCO3^-.
These anions are fundamental components of many minerals and geological formations. For instance, calcium carbonate (CaCO3)
