Szervertechnológiák refers to the hardware and software components that enable the functionality of computer servers. Servers are powerful computers designed to provide services and resources to other computers, known as clients, over a network. The underlying technologies are crucial for their performance, reliability, and security.

Hardware components include the central processing unit (CPU), which performs calculations; random access memory (RAM), which stores temporary data; storage devices like hard disk drives (HDDs) or solid-state drives (SSDs) for persistent data; and network interface cards (NICs) for network connectivity. Server-grade hardware is typically more robust and designed for continuous operation than consumer-grade hardware.

Software technologies are equally important. Operating systems, such as Linux distributions (e.g., Ubuntu Server, CentOS) or Windows Server, manage the server's resources and run applications. Server applications are the programs that provide specific services, examples include web servers (e.g., Apache, Nginx) for hosting websites, database servers (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) for storing and managing data, file servers for sharing files, and mail servers for email communication. Virtualization technologies, like VMware or KVM, allow multiple virtual servers to run on a single physical server, improving resource utilization and flexibility. Cloud computing platforms have also become a dominant force, offering server resources as a service, abstracting away much of the underlying hardware management. Networking protocols, such as TCP/IP, HTTP, and FTP, are essential for client-server communication.
