Superconductivitylike refers to materials or phenomena that exhibit some, but not all, of the characteristics of superconductivity. Superconductivity is a state of matter characterized by zero electrical resistance and the expulsion of magnetic fields, known as the Meissner effect. Materials that are superconductivitylike may show one of these properties strongly while only weakly exhibiting the other, or they may display a gradual transition into a state that resembles superconductivity under certain conditions.
