Suojamaiset are a breed of dog originating from Finland. They are a medium-sized breed, typically weighing between 18 to 27 kilograms (40 to 60 pounds) and standing at about 50 to 58 centimeters (20 to 23 inches) at the withers. Suojamaiset are known for their strong, muscular build and dense, weather-resistant coat, which can be black, gray, or a combination of both. Their coat is short and smooth, with a thick undercoat that provides excellent insulation against cold temperatures.
