Sunet, short for Swedish University Network, is Sweden's national research and education network (NREN). Sunet is operated by Sunet AB, a non-profit limited company owned by its member organizations. In addition to the national backbone network, Sunet connects to international partners through networks such as GÉANT and NORDUnet, enabling access to global research resources. Services commonly include advanced network connectivity, identity and access management, cloud and collaboration services, videoconferencing, and roaming for educational users through eduroam. Sunet also coordinates data security, privacy protections, and service resilience to support research and higher education activities in Sweden.
