sudionike

Sudionike is a form of the noun sudionik used in Croatian, Serbian, and Bosnian to denote a person who participates in an activity, study, event, or competition. The term is commonly employed in formal and semi-formal writing to refer to participants or respondents without specifying gender.

In standard grammar, sudionik is masculine; the nominative plural is sudionici, and the accusative plural is sudionike. Other plural forms include sudionicima (dative plural) and sudionika (genitive plural). The feminine counterpart is sudionica, with the nominative plural sudionice. Thus sudionike functions as the direct object in sentences such as “Organizatori su kontaktirali sudionike ankete” (The organizers contacted the survey participants) or “Na konferenciji su sudionike pozvali na panel” (At the conference, the participants were invited to the panel).
