Subalansavimas is a process of adjusting the components of a system to restore or achieve a desired balance when deviations or imbalances occur. The term is used across different fields to describe actions that bring distributions, loads, or allocations back to a predefined target. In Lithuanian usage, subalansavimo refers to the activity itself, while subalansavimo procesas denotes the process.

In finance, subalansavimas commonly refers to portfolio rebalancing. After price movements shift asset weights away from the target allocation, subalansavimo involves buying or selling assets to restore the intended mix.
