The stuurelement is a hypothetical fundamental unit proposed within the theoretical framework known as stuurelement theory (SET). In this model, the stuurelement is the smallest indivisible constituent of matter and information, intended to unify discrete and continuous descriptions of physical phenomena. The concept is speculative and has not been supported by experimental evidence.

Properties: Each stuurelement is treated as a pointlike unit with a topological charge S and an internal state index I. It has a characteristic length l_s and energy E_s. It can occupy a small set of internal states, with transitions driven by the stuu field. Interactions with known particles occur via a mediator, yielding weak couplings at low energy.

Mathematical framework: In SET, stuurelements are described by fields transforming under a symmetry group G_s. The dynamics combine a kinetic term with internal-state evolution and a potential that binds elements into larger composites, called stuurons.

Formation and composites: When bound, stuurelements form composites stabilized by the stuu force. These structures can exhibit emergent properties not present in isolated elements.
