Stryi is a city in the Lviv Oblast of western Ukraine, located on the Stryi River. It serves as the administrative center of the Stryi Raion. The city has a rich history dating back to the 13th century, when it was first mentioned in historical records. Stryi was an important center of the Ruthenian Voivodeship in the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth and later became part of the Austrian Empire.
