The term statichorizon refers to a conceptual boundary in certain theoretical physics frameworks, particularly in the study of black holes and general relativity. It is distinct from the event horizon, which is defined as the point of no return for matter and energy. Instead, the statichorizon is an imaginary surface where spacetime effectively ceases to be dynamic and becomes static.

In the context of a stationary black hole solution, such as the Schwarzschild black hole, the region outside the event horizon is typically dynamic. However, theoretical models sometimes explore hypothetical scenarios where a region of static spacetime could exist around an object that would otherwise be expected to have a dynamic gravitational field. The statichorizon would mark the boundary between this static region and the dynamic spacetime beyond it.

The concept of a statichorizon is not observed in astrophysical black holes. Real black holes are expected to have event horizons but not necessarily a static region outside of them.
