Standpunktkarakter is the final grade awarded for a subject in the Norwegian education system, representing a student’s overall achievement in that subject for a given term or course. The grade is issued by the school and is intended to reflect the student's combined performance across different assessment components rather than a single test.

The standpunktkarakter is determined according to the national curriculum and the school’s assessment plan. It typically combines continuous assessments, tests, assignments, and, where applicable, a final examination or portfolio.
