Stabilim is a term used in various disciplines to denote mechanisms or principles aimed at maintaining or restoring stability in dynamic or complex systems. The word does not refer to a universally recognized concept, and its meaning tends to vary by context. Etymologically, it combines stabilis, Latin for "stable," with the suffix -im, which is sometimes used to form abstract nouns.

In economics and public policy, stabilim is sometimes used to describe approaches that seek to dampen fluctuations in output or employment, including automatic stabilizers and counter-cyclical fiscal rules. In systems engineering and control theory, stabilim can refer to strategies and design principles that reduce oscillations and bring a system to a desired steady state, through feedback, damping, and robust control. In materials science, a stabilim additive or treatment would be hypothetical to denote substances that improve long-term stability of reactive materials or phases.

In philosophy or political sociology, stabilim may be invoked as a theoretical stance prioritizing social or political continuity, but it remains largely hypothetical or speculative in mainstream discourse.
