Spahotellid is an extinct genus of early arthropods that lived during the Cambrian period. The name spahotellid is derived from the Greek words "spahos" meaning rough or prickly and the Latin suffix "-tellid" implying a resemblance to Tellins, a genus of saltwater clams. These arthropods are considered to be one of the earliest known arthropod groups to have developed a segmented body plan.

The fossils of spahotellids were first discovered in the Burgess Shale Formation in British Columbia, Canada, known for its rich fossils from the Cambrian period. The spahotellid fossils were initially confused with other arthropods, but subsequent studies confirmed its distinctiveness. Spahotellids were characterized by their simple yet distinctive body structure, which included a series of segments or "tagmata" that were grouped into different parts of the body.
