Soiuri is the Romanian term used for plant varieties in agriculture and horticulture. A soi (singular) refers to a cultivated plant population that carries distinct, heritable traits and remains relatively uniform from generation to generation. Soiuri (the plural) encompasses the many individual varieties that farmers and growers may select for cultivation, breeding, or release to the market.

In most countries, plant varieties are subject to formal processes of evaluation and registration. The criteria commonly used include distinctness (the variety is clearly different from existing varieties), uniformity (the plants within the variety are consistent in their characteristics), and stability (the traits remain consistent across generations).
