In natural phenomena, skurðljós might describe the appearance of sunlight passing through a narrow gap in clouds, creating distinct shafts of light. It can also be observed in the context of atmospheric optics, such as when light is refracted or diffracted in a way that produces sharp lines or bands of illumination against a darker background. Examples include certain types of crepuscular rays or the appearance of light in icy conditions.
