Sensoriumi is a term used in cognitive science and philosophy of mind to describe the integrated perceptual field that underpins conscious experience. Rooted in the Latin sensus and the English term sensorium, sensoriumi is used in Finnish-language scholarship to refer to the dynamic arrangement of sensory information that a person currently perceives, including both external modalities and internal bodily signals.

The concept encompasses traditional senses—vision, hearing, taste, smell, and touch—as well as proprioception, vestibular sense, and interoception, and extends to higher-level processes such as multisensory integration, attention, and affective appraisal. In discussions of altered states, sensoriumi may shift or expand, as in synesthesia, hypnosis, meditation, or pharmacologically induced states, reflecting changes in the scope or weighting of perceptual inputs rather than a fixed organ.

In research, sensoriumi serves as a heuristic for studying how the brain binds diverse sensory streams into a coherent experience and how this field changes across tasks, context, or clinical conditions. It is used in interpretations of consciousness, perceptual disorders, and human–computer interaction, including virtual reality design and sensory augmentation.
