These include passive diffusion, where a material like rattan reeds or porous ceramic absorbs a scented liquid and releases it slowly into the air. Active diffusion systems use technology, such as ultrasonic diffusers that create a fine mist of water and essential oils, or nebulizing diffusers that atomize pure essential oils without water. Heat diffusers, like electric wax warmers, also use heat to accelerate evaporation and scent dispersal.
