Síts, also known as Sits or Síth, is a term that can refer to several distinct concepts, primarily originating from Irish folklore and mythology. The most common association is with the Aos Sí, a supernatural race of beings in Irish mythology. These beings are often described as fairies, spirits, or an ancient race of people who inhabited Ireland before the arrival of the Gaels. They are said to dwell in the Otherworld, often associated with mounds and ancient burial sites. The Aos Sí are not inherently evil but can be capricious and powerful, interacting with humans in various ways, sometimes beneficially and sometimes with ill intent.
