ronda

Ronda is a town and municipality in the province of Málaga, Andalusia, Spain. It is perched on a limestone plateau overlooking the El Tajo gorge, roughly 100 kilometers west of Málaga city. The town is divided by the gorge into the historic old quarter to the north and newer districts to the south; the Puente Nuevo, an 18th-century stone bridge, spans the canyon to connect the two parts.

The area shows evidence of occupation from ancient times, with Iberians, Romans, and Moors leaving their mark.
