Romboedraalse is a term used in geometry to describe a class of polyhedra whose faces are rhombi. The most familiar member of this family is the rhombohedron, a six-faced solid obtained by skewing a cube so that opposite faces remain parallel and all faces are rhombi. In general, Romboedraalse shapes are convex solids built entirely from rhombic faces, with the overall structure determined by how the rhombi are arranged.

A typical Romboedraalse cell has six faces, twelve edges, and eight vertices. The faces are rhombi, and in many cases opposite faces are parallel. If the rhombi become squares, the Romboedraalse reduces to a standard cube. Different members of the family arise by varying the angles and edge lengths of the constituent rhombi, which affects symmetry and tiling properties but preserves the basic rhombic-face character.

In crystallography and materials science, the concept is related to rhombohedral lattices and rhombohedral tilings. Rhombohedral cells can model certain crystal packings and can tessellate three-dimensional space in some configurations, forming rhombohedral honeycombs. The term is sometimes used interchangeably with rhombohedron or rhombic solids in older literature, though modern usage often specifies the exact geometric or lattice context.
