Resintar is a term used in materials science to designate a family of resin-based composites and thermoset resins intended for high-performance applications. The name is employed by several manufacturers to describe resins that combine a resin matrix with reinforcing fillers to achieve enhanced mechanical, thermal, and barrier properties.

Composition and properties: The matrix may be epoxy, acrylic, or vinyl ester systems, blended with nano- or microfillers such as silica, carbon nanotubes, graphene, or ceramic particles.
