Reprodukálás is a term originating from the field of biology and encompasses the processes by which living organisms create new individuals. This fundamental biological function ensures the continuation of species. There are two primary modes of reproduction: asexual and sexual.

Asexual reproduction involves a single parent producing offspring that are genetically identical to itself. This can occur through various mechanisms such as binary fission in bacteria, budding in yeast and hydra, fragmentation in some plants and animals, and vegetative propagation in plants. The advantage of asexual reproduction is its speed and efficiency, requiring less energy and resources. Sexual reproduction, on the other hand, involves the fusion of genetic material from two parents, typically through specialized reproductive cells called gametes (sperm and egg).
