Regenereation is not a standard term in science or humanities. In most contexts, it is a common misspelling of regeneration, a term covering processes of regrowth, renewal, or restoration in biology, ecology, medicine, engineering, and culture.

In biology, regeneration denotes the regrowth of lost tissues or organs, present in varying capacity across species. Some salamanders can regenerate limbs; planarians can regenerate entire bodies; humans exhibit limited regeneration, notably liver regrowth and wound healing guided by stem cells and growth factors.

In medicine, regenerative approaches aim to restore tissue function through stem cell therapy, tissue engineering, and biomaterials, including skin grafts, cartilage repair, and potential whole-organ regeneration under research.

In ecology and environmental science, regeneration refers to the recovery of ecosystems after disturbance, including vegetation succession, soil restoration, and the return of ecological processes like nutrient cycling and habitat provision.

In design and technology, regenerative concepts emphasize systems that replenish resources, reduce waste, and generate net positive environmental impact, such as regenerative design, circular economies, and energy-positive buildings.
