Redigeerisite is a fictional mineral species created for educational illustration in geology and mineralogy. It is not an officially recognized mineral by the International Mineralogical Association and exists primarily as a teaching example to demonstrate mineral description and naming conventions.

In the fictional framework, redigeerisite is described as a red monoclinic silicate mineral. The name honors the fictional geologist Dr. Elena Redigeeri. Typical physical properties are reported as a vitreous to resinous luster, red to deep red color, pale red streak, and a Mohs hardness around 6. Crystal system is monoclinic with an indistinct cleavage and a prismatic to tabular habit. Specific gravity is given as about 3.2–3.5. These characteristics are used in exercises to illustrate how mineral properties are documented and analyzed, rather than to designate a real specimen.

Occurrence and formation: The fictional deposit is described as hydrothermal veins hosted in metamorphic rocks, with associated minerals such as quartz, hematite, and rutile. The provisional composition is not fixed and is used only for teaching, with variations proposed in seminars and classroom assignments. In practice, such variations help students learn how mineral formulas and classifications are refined.
