razvranje

Razvranje is a fictional town in the central highlands of the Republic of Alavria, serving as the seat of Razvranje Municipality in Mitros Province. It lies in a narrow valley along the Verna River, at about 320 meters above sea level. The climate is temperate, with warm summers and cold winters.

The name Razvranje derives from Slavic roots associated with unfolding or development, a nod to its historical role as a market site and waypoint.

Founded in the 12th century as a fortified settlement, Razvranje expanded into a market town by the 15th century. It changed hands during regional conflicts and saw modernization in the 19th century, including a rail spur and municipal administration upgrades.

As of 2020, the municipality had about 7,600 residents, predominantly Alavrian, with smaller Romani and Tovin communities. The economy centers on agriculture (olives, cereals), small-scale manufacturing, and rural tourism.

Notable sites include the Church of St. Nikola, a fortress ruin, and a historic town square. The annual harvest festival and a winter poetry night are key cultural events.

Razvranje is governed by a mayor and council. It is linked to the regional road network and a light rail spur; local services cover education, health, and cultural programs.
