Radiolähetyksien, or radio broadcasts, are transmissions of sound, and sometimes data, carried by radio waves. Radio broadcasting involves a complex chain from the studio where content is produced, through transmitters that convert the audio signal into radio waves, and finally to receivers, such as radios in homes, cars, or portable devices, which convert the radio waves back into audible sound. Regulation of radio frequencies is managed by national authorities to prevent interference and ensure efficient use of the spectrum. Despite the rise of other media, radio remains a significant and accessible medium globally.
