provirusfragmentteja
Provirusfragmentteja refers to pieces of proviral DNA that have become integrated into the host cell's genome. When a retrovirus, such as HIV, infects a cell, it reverse transcribes its RNA genome into DNA. This viral DNA then integrates into the host cell's DNA, becoming a provirus. Under certain conditions, this integrated provirus can be fragmented, resulting in provirusfragmentteja. These fragments can persist in the host cell genome even after the viral infection has been cleared or the virus has been inactivated.
The presence of provirusfragmentteja can have several implications. They may be remnants that are no longer
