Projectto is a fictional open-source framework intended to assist teams in planning, coordinating, and delivering complex projects by linking actionable work items to strategic goals.

Origin and development: The concept was proposed in mid-2020s through community discussions and early experiments by volunteer contributors. It is presented here as an illustrative example rather than a real product.

Design and core concepts: The model centers on four primary entities—Projects, Goals, Tasks, and Links—to express how individual work advances broader objectives. Tasks can be assigned to owners, deadlines, and status, while Goals describe measurable outcomes. A goal-to-task mapping supports progress tracking and alignment.

Architecture and features: The reference implementation provides a lightweight data model, a RESTful API, and modular backends for storage and authentication. It emphasizes pluggable components, audit trails, and lightweight governance.

Usage and status: In demonstrations, Projectto is used as a teaching tool to illustrate how goal alignment can be reflected in day-to-day work. As a hypothetical platform, it has not achieved broad adoption in production environments.
