Privileege is not a recognized term in standard English. It is most often encountered as a misspelling of the word privilege and in that sense signals a typographical error rather than a distinct concept. In informal writing, online discussions, or social media, privileege may appear when writers are unsure how to spell the word, but it does not constitute a separate terminology.

Privilege refers to a special right, advantage, or immunity granted to individuals or groups. These advantages can be formal, such as legal rights or entitlements, or informal, such as social or economic benefits that affect life outcomes. Discussions of privilege frequently address how identities such as race, gender, class, or sexuality intersect with access to opportunities and resources.
