Print-at-home is a method of delivering tickets, passes, or other documents by providing a printable file that the recipient can print locally. Common formats include PDF documents containing purchase details and a machine-readable barcode or QR code. The approach is widely used for event admissions, travel boarding passes, and digital content licenses.

Typically, after purchase, the customer receives an email with a secure link or an attached file that can be downloaded and printed. The printed ticket is then presented at entry, where it is scanned. Some systems also offer a mobile version that can be used instead of or alongside the print-at-home document.

Tickets may include unique serial numbers, encrypted data, or time-limited barcodes to prevent reuse. In some cases, tickets may be subject to revalidation or replacement if printed more than once; venues may require identity checks in addition to scanning.

Advantages include ease of distribution, reduced shipping costs, and immediate availability. Limitations include the need for a printer and paper, the risk of loss or damage to a printed copy, and potential issues with nonfunctional printers or compatibility across devices.
