predips
Predips, short for "prediabetes," is a condition in which blood sugar levels are higher than normal but not yet high enough to be diagnosed as diabetes. It is often referred to as the "silent disease" because it typically does not cause symptoms. Prediabetes is a significant risk factor for developing type 2 diabetes. It is estimated that about 84 million adults in the United States have prediabetes, and it is more common in adults over the age of 45.
There are two main types of prediabetes: impaired fasting glucose (IFG) and impaired glucose tolerance (IGT).
Prediabetes can be managed through lifestyle changes, including a healthy diet, regular physical activity, and weight
