Postsynaptisiin is a hypothetical protein used in teaching and fictional contexts to illustrate how the postsynaptic side of chemical synapses might organize signaling. In these depictions, it is described as a transmembrane protein enriched at the postsynaptic density of excitatory synapses, capable of coordinating receptor complexes and intracellular signaling.
