Postoupilo is the transliteration of the Russian word поступило, the neuter singular past tense form of the verb поступить. In Russian-language usage, поступило means that something has arrived, been received, or become available. In transliterated texts, the form is usually written as postupilo, but occasional variants such as postoupilo appear in nonstandard renderings.

Etymology and meaning. The form поступило comes from the perfective verb поступить, which covers senses including to enroll or join (to begin a course or position), to act in a certain way, and to come in or be received.
