Porlasztást, also known as atomization, is the process of breaking down a bulk liquid into a spray of fine droplets. This transformation is achieved through various methods that introduce sufficient energy to overcome the liquid's surface tension and cohesion. The primary goal of porlasztást is to increase the surface area of the liquid, which can enhance processes like evaporation, combustion, and mixing.
