politickej

Politickej is a nonstandard, colloquial form of the Czech adjective politický, meaning “political.” It is used mainly in spoken Czech and in informal writing to describe things related to politics or political contexts. In formal, standard Czech, the preferred forms are politický (masculine), politická (feminine), politické (neuter), with appropriate inflections for number and case.

The spelling politickej reflects a phonetic, casual rendering of the ending -ický that appears in everyday speech. This pattern is common in Czech slang and nonformal language and is found in contexts such as lyrics, tabloids, social media, and dialogue in films and television. Typical colloquial compounds include politickej tlak or politickej systém, used in place of politický tlak or politický systém in informal discourse. In standard prose, the formal forms politický tlak or politický systém are preferred.

Usage and register: politickej signals informality and a relaxed tone. It is not suitable for academic, official, or highly formal writing. Readers encountering politickej should interpret it as a casual or emphatic way of saying “political.” While widely understood by Czech speakers, its acceptability depends on context and audience.
