Politeísmo is the belief in and worship of multiple gods. While politeism was prevalent in antiquity, many modern religions are monotheistic, believing in a single God. However, politeistic beliefs and practices continue to exist in various forms around the world, sometimes alongside or blended with other religious traditions.
