Plasterainesta is a modern plaster-based composite material used in architecture for decorative plasterwork, repairs, and protective coatings. It blends traditional plaster matrices with added binders and aggregates to improve adhesion and durability.

Typical mixes use lime putty or gypsum plaster as the base, combined with fine aggregates such as marble dust, silica sand, or recycled glass, and polymers or acrylics as binders. Some formulations incorporate natural fibers or mica to reduce cracking.

The material is designed to be compatible with historic lime-based mortars, offering improved compressive strength, controlled setting, and breathability. It can be finished to resemble classical plaster surfaces and accepts traditional coatings.

Common uses include interior decorative cornices, raised panels, and patch repairs on walls and ceilings. It is also employed in restoration projects seeking reversibility and compatibility with existing substrates.
