Planarmagnetiske is a Norwegian term describing phenomena, devices, or configurations in which magnetic fields or magnetization are confined to, or predominantly lie in, a plane (two-dimensional). The concept is used across physics, engineering, and materials science to denote planar magnetic geometries that enable simplified modeling, manufacturing, or improved performance.

In materials science and manufacturing, planarmagnetiske configurations include planar magnetron systems, where a flat target is coated with magnetic field traps formed by magnets arranged behind the target surface.
