Passivhusstandarden, also known as the Nordic Passive House Standard, is a set of prescriptive criteria developed in the early 2000s to guide the design and construction of ultra‑energy‑efficient buildings. The standard was first formalized by the Danish Ministry of Housing, Housing and Urban Development in 2005 and has since been adopted in Sweden, Norway, Finland and other Nordic countries.
