parietaloccipital
Parietaloccipital refers to the posterior region of the brain where the parietal and occipital lobes meet. In anatomical practice, a key landmark of this boundary on the medial surface is the parieto-occipital sulcus, which helps delineate the edge between parietal and occipital tissue. On the lateral surface, the boundary between these lobes is less sharply defined, and the parietal-occipital region is often described in relation to nearby structures such as the precuneus (part of the parietal lobe) and portions of the occipital cortex.
The parietal-occipital region is associated with visuospatial processing and the integration of visual information with spatial
Clinically, disruption of parietal-occipital areas can affect visuospatial abilities and visual attention. Lesions in this region
